We are currently looking for two Deacon Positions. These are unpaid volunteer positions that are vital to the advancement of our mission.

Neighborhood Mission Deacon

Responsible for connecting our Missional Communities to the U-District neighborhood through mission.

This person will coordinate with neighborhood service providers and organize projects serving in the U-District so as to reveal Jesus through gospel deeds. Additionally this person will be in charge of any service teams that come in to help serve the city of Seattle through Paradox (such as missions trips and other churches from various locations). 3-5 hrs/week average.

Service Logistics Deacon

Responsible for organizing and administrating corporate worship gatherings.

This person will be in charge of the artistic ambiance of our worship gatherings as well as communion preparation, offering, greeters and registration for The City (our online community network). As our mission grows this position will likely take on more responsibilities. Directly manages and leads communion servers, greeters and offering servers. 3-5 hrs/week.

Can I get internship credit by serving in one of these positions?

In short, yes. However, we do not consider these positions to be temporary (as most internships are).

Do I have to go through an application or interview process of any kind?

We have developed a Deaconship process through which we measure a persons qualifications as outlined in Scripture. All those who desire to fill these positions are required to go through our Deaconship process. This process includes references, interviews and applications.

Who can apply?

Anyone. The process will determine if you are qualified to be appointed to Deaconship.

Are these paid positions?

Currently we do not have the ability to pay these positions.

Are there any educational or job experience requirements?

There are no educational requirements or job experience requirements. We care about Biblical qualifications as outlined in Scripture.
